To celebrate the 40th Anniversary and the remarkable history of Rupp's Drums, we are hosting one of the most exciting events that the Denver drumming community has ever seen! Join us for a star-studded evening of celebration at Dazzle (at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts) featuring Denver’s first drum festival-style lineup.
On Sunday, October 13th, an intimate audience of 100 will indulge in a delicious food/drink selection while enjoying performances from six of the world's greatest drummers (see Artist page).

Attendees will also be the very first to view an exciting new documentary on the history of the store, featuring legendary drummers and a never-before-seen interview with our esteemed founder, Bob Rupp. In addition, guests will walk the red carpet at Dazzle’s main entrance and enjoy access to limited-edition apparel not available anywhere else.
This unforgettable event will be packed with drum retail industry luminaries, world-class artists and members of the Denver drumming community! Rupp’s Drums owner, Alex Simpson, will emcee the evening alongside special guest speakers. When the main event concludes at 9pm, VIP ticket holders, artists and special guests will stick around for a private after-party.

It is a tremendous honor to host this special event celebrating the remarkable legacy of Colorado’s oldest dedicated drum shop, Rupp’s Drums.
As a lifelong customer, I can testify to the powerful, positive influence that a great independent drum shop can have on a drummer’s career. Over the last four decades, Rupp’s Drums has touched the lives of countless drummers and we continue to work every day to provide the same authentic experience that drummers have enjoyed at our store since 1984.
Forty years of continuous business is a significant achievement for a music retail store. These unique establishments face a myriad of challenges on a daily basis and it takes a passionate, supportive community to help them survive and thrive. I genuinely feel that the Rupp’s Drums community is among the most vibrant in the country and we are so grateful for every customer that has walked through our doors over the past forty years.
We have been working around the clock for over six months to make this event an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. We’ve teamed up with Denver’s legendary jazz club, Dazzle, along with six of the world’s greatest drummers to create the very first drum festival-style event that Denver has ever seen. Additionally, we’ve partnered with a world-class production company to create a fantastic documentary on the history of the store. Built on new interviews with Bob Rupp and many long-time customers and employees, this documentary tells the remarkable story of one of America’s oldest destination drum shops and I cannot wait to share it with all of you!
